SSD Appreciation Awards
SSD would like you to submit nominations for UT faculty or staff who have had a positive impact on your semester! We will recognize nominees with a letter of appreciation and a small desk clock acknowledging their efforts to make campus more accessible and inclusive for students with disabilities. Nominations are due by December 17th. To see a list of past nominees visit our Appreciation Awards page of our website.
Student Organization Survey
The Student Government Disabilities and Inclusion Agency is conducting a survey to better understand the experiences and interactions that individuals with disabilities have had with student organizations across UT’s campus. The Disability Advocacy Training Program Committee hopes to collect your stories to help us create an Advocacy Awareness Program for student organizations promoting inclusion of individuals with all forms of disabilities in organizations on campus. We hope that your experiences will enable us to specifically address the real issues that have occurred in the past, so we can help student organizations understand the best ways to be fully inclusive for all students moving forward.
December 6th: Prescription Drug Take Back Day
Do you have expired, unused, and unwanted prescription and nonprescription drugs? UT Prescription Drug Take Back Day is open to anyone from the UT and greater Austin community. The event is a free, anonymous way for members of the community to safely get rid of potentially dangerous and learn more about substance safety. The effort is meant to prevent pill misuse and theft. Free food while supplies last!
