Seton Brain and Spine Institute – Paralympic Sport Austin
The Seton Brain and Spine Institute Adapted Sports Program is designed to provide physically challenged individuals with the opportunity to participate in various sports and fitness programs. The primary focus of the Seton Adapted Sports Program is to improve the participant’s functional fitness level. Additionally, the program provides opportunities to enhance total quality of life by providing psychological and health-related benefits. Self-esteem and a sense of value are significantly enhanced through the simple inclusion in these programs. Participation in the activities also provides a healthy support system of people with common interests, goals and desires.
ArtSpark Texas, formerly VSA Texas, the state organization on arts and disability, is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization that works to create a society where people with disabilities learn through, participate in, and enjoy the arts. Our mission is to promote the creative power in people with disabilities by working with all community members to facilitate full access to the cultural and educational arts.
The SAFE Alliance exists to stop abuse for everyone by serving the survivors of child abuse, sexual assault and exploitation, and domestic violence, with specific programs for Deaf people and people with disabilities. They are dedicated to ending violence through prevention, advocacy, and comprehensive services for individuals, families, and communities that have been affected by abuse.
