Typical response time is 1-3 business days between the hours of 8 am to 5 pm. Business days do not include weekends or holidays when the university is closed.

The concealed carry of handguns is prohibited in patient care areas at UT Austin, including those areas in which professional mental health services are provided.  Because a significant majority of the Student Services Building (SSB) is devoted to patient care, the entire SSB is exempt from the concealed carry of handguns. Drop In Hours: 

A Coordinator is available to answer emails and voicemails Monday-Friday between 10:00am-3:00pm.

Virtual Drop In appointments are available Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00am-10:00am and 12:30pm-1:30pm. You can schedule a Virtual Drop In appointment here.

Outreach Requests: 

For interview/media requests please submit your request via the Interview/Media Request form. Please do not contact D&A staff directly for interview/media inquiries.

For presentation/training requests, please submit your request via the Outreach Request form.

If you or your organization has a disability-related opportunity, resource or event that you would like to be considered for distribution to students registered with our office please complete the Submission Form for Disability-Related Resources form.

 

Our Staff

D&A Directors

Kelli Bradley
Executive Director
Kelli Bradley is the leader and primary point-of-contact of D&A, oversees the 18-person team, budget, and day-to-day operations.

MarloJo Scroggins
Director of Campus Communication and Access
MarloJo Scroggins oversees all campus-wide Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing (D/HH) communication services for students, staff, faculty, and visitors.

Jasper Howard
Director of Campus Collaborations and Access
Jasper Howard oversees the advancement of campus-wide accessibility initiatives through proactive collaborations, data analysis, and outreach.

Camryn Callaway
Associate Director
Camryn Callaway supervises Access Coordinators, trains new D&A staff, and serves as the primary point of contact for campus stakeholders regarding student-related accessibility questions.

Maurice Renfro
Assistant Director
Maurice Renfro is responsible for maintaining policy and process consistency within the department, training new D&A staff, and directing the D&A intern program.

 

D&A Access Coordinators

Access Coordinators determine reasonable accommodations, counsel, and assist students with disabilities. Access Coordinators work with faculty and stakeholders to implement accommodations.

Outreach Staff

Outreach and Education Coordinator
Coordinates and implements D&A outreach and education initiatives for the campus and community. This staff member coordinates outreach events, trainings, and communications.

 

D/HH Services Staff

Gloria Gonzalez
Scheduling Coordinator

Coordinates and schedules D/HH services for staff, faculty, and visitors.

 

Assistive Technology Education Center Staff

Andrew De Avila
Assistive Technology Access Coordinator 
Andrew De Avila assists D&A staff and students with digital accessibility and supports accessibility practices campus-wide. Also coordinates exam administration and assistive technology services in the Assistive Technology Education Center (ATEC).

 

Administrative Associates

Two staff members oversee administrative responsibilities, including front desk student triage, maintaining calendars, and processing confidential disability documentation.
