Introduction to D&A: This presentation is an overview of D&A. It will provide introductory information students with disabilities as well as accommodations that are commonly approved for them. We will also provide suggestions for working with students and appropriate referrals to our office. Case studies can be included for more practical application of information provided.

The Disability Advocate Program takes partners on campus and provides them with knowledge, tools, and skills to be able to work more effectively and confidently towards creating an accessible and welcoming campus environment for UT’s disabled community.
1) Disability Advocate Foundations: 2 hour Disability Advocate Foundations presentation open to faculty, staff and students.
- Designed to facilitate open conversation and provide an engaging learning environment through interactive activities and discussion. Participants will learn specific strategies to make campus more accessible for people with disabilities within their role at UT.
2) Disability Advocate 101: 1 hour Disability Advocate presentation – perfect for a classroom setting.
